Decaffeinated Colombia Narino, sugarcane ethyl acetate (E.A.) processing, commonly referred to as natural decaffeination, starts by fermenting molasses derived from sugarcane to create ethanol. The ethanol is then mixed with acetic acid which creates ethyl acetate to decaffeinate the beans. Despite the name, there is no sugar included in the finished product. Click here to learn more!

I have been getting this coffee for a few years. It is consistently excellent.
Glad to find this coffee. Smooth decaf with good flavor.
Always makes a delicious cup of decaf espresso!
I was looking for a decaf coffee and was unaware there was a non-chemical decaffeinating process until I came across Speedwell. They use some coconut'sugarcane-based method, I'm now drinking coffee again, I had missed it - thanks Terri and Derek!
I've been searching for a decaf that doesn't taste like decaf and have been disappointed by the stops along my journey. I read about the sugarcane EA process and searched for a source, finding this blend from Speedwell. That this decaf was also a darker roast was a plus. It's the best decaf I've had — not quite to my vision of perfection. Maybe there's no way to decaffeinate coffee without some impact to the flavor.
