At the heart of every successful restaurant and coffee program is a foundation of training. We take our role in this very seriously, and love sharing our knowledge and expertise with our customers, to help them serve better coffee.
Fundamentals In Espresso Workshop
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
Once per month we offer our entry level barista training class, Fundamentals in Espresso ($99). This 2.5 hour class is open to the public. Participants will learn on state of the art equipment, including our Slayer Steam espresso machine, and Mahlkonig grinders. The workshop is perfect for any home or entry-level barista who works, or aspires to work, within a commercial environment.
The class is very hands-on, and covers everything from proper espresso dosing and extraction, grinder adjstuments, milk texturing, and espresso beverage preparation. Space is limited to four students, and you must register ahead of time.
Partner Cupping
LAUNCHING OCTOBER 2023
Oncer per month we invite our wholesale partners down to our roastery in Plymouth, to cup and experience our offerings. A great way to taste new coffees for the first time, see our production first-hand, and immerse yourself in coffee for a few hours. Partners and employees welcome! Space is limited so please register online, this is a free event.

Wholesale Partner Training
Support for our coffee customers
In addition to our monthly workshops, we also offer by appointment comprehensive training for our wholesale coffee partners. This training is run by our coffee professionals, and is intended to train your team on the fundamentals of coffee preparation, barista skills, and provide a foundation of coffee knowledge. The training is offered at no additional charge to wholesale customers that serve Speedwell Coffee - it’s just part of the value we provide.
Our wholesale partner training is not a one-time offer, but rather an on-going resource and commitment, for all our partners to tap into as they need.
