Roast Level
Sourced from producers Elias and Shady Bayter, and their farm located in Fresno, Tolima. Our Colombian decaffeinated coffees come from the same farm and producers as our high scoring caffeinated lots. The result is a flavorful and enjoyable cup of decaffeinated coffee. The coffees are decaffeinated using the sugarcane ethyl acetate (E.A.) processing, commonly referred to as natural decaffeination, starts by fermenting molasses derived from sugarcane to create ethanol. The ethanol is then mixed with acetic acid which creates ethyl acetate to decaffeinate the beans. The caffeine levels are lowered to 0.1%. Despite the name, there is no sugar included in the finished product. Click here to learn more about the E.A. decaf process.

I use the decaf Columbia in my superautomatic for espresso and I grind it with my manual grinder to brew with my Hario Switch. Oftentimes I'll blend it with full caf beans, but also very tasty straight. I'll continue to order it regularly.
Have tried a number of specialty roasters decaf and this is hands down the best for anyone who prefers South/Central American coffees. Great flavors and body. Delicious as a 50/50 blend with the El Vergel #1.
New to speedwell coffee- would like to say- Thank you! I have been enjoying the half calf blend, normally I make my own. The coffee is excellent and very enjoyable!
We fell in love w/ Speedwell coffee at our local coffee shop, Honeycomb in Hamilton, MA. But what a delight to be able to order it online and have it at home. This decaf is divine. Smooth and delicious, lots of flavor. We couldn't love it more!
I think this decaf is amazing. I would like 1-2 more selections. The Nor’Easter is ok but a bit too strong.
