A new coffee for us this year, Ethiopia Wenago is from the the Yirgacheffe zone, and checks all the boxes you'd expect from a washed Ethiopian. A light body, with complex peach sweetness, and a pleasing jasmine finish. Close to 300 small share farmers contributed to the lots collected and sorted at the washing station in the city of Wenago.
This coffee has been through a special washed processing, where yeast is added to the coffee in the fermentation stage (72 hours), helping the coffee reach its full potential and help reveal its delicate sweetness.
Wonderful as a daily coffee or pour-over, and very satisfying as a crisp and refreshing iced coffee.
