Ethiopia Bombe Abore
Roast Level
A beautiful Grade 1 washed Sidama that checks all the boxes that you'd expect from these heirloom coffees. A light body, with complex stone fruit sweetness, and a pleasing floral finish. The Bombe Abore lot is produced at the Abore Washing Station in Sidama, Ethiopia in the Bona Zuria District (one of 30 in the region). Bombe Abore is the name of this specific lot produced there and was named after a bridge that was constructed in 1997 and dedicated to a local chief. The elevation of the farmers that deliver cherry have farms ranging in elevation from 1,920m at the low end, all the way to 2,020m at the high end. Due to the extremely high elevations, harvest runs on the later end, from December through February. Approximately 1,022 farmers from the Bombe Village deliver cherry to the Abore Washing Station.
